TREND I'M NOT SO SURE ABOUT: open shoulder top

 One style that's popping up everywhere is the open shoulder top, I'm still on the fence about this, sometimes it works, other times it's terrible. 

Good example: this is the right kind of material, just enough drape, and the colour combination here is fantastic, so great for summer. But then again, with looks like Olivia u can never go wrong.

Positive example: the thing that saved this look for me is the neckline. Makes the top much more structured and upscale. This is totally cocktail appropriate and so much better compared off-the-shoulder white top girls in trashy bars wear.

This is treading into unsure territory, I like the idea of jazzing up the blue shirt, and the collar is very unique too, I guess.

Bad example: too much fabric. The high contrast b/w bag and pants is great, but the brown top is kind of meddling it.

FRENCH NAIL WITH A TWIST

Did my nails today, these are the polishes I used, except for the white. (reason being it came with an extremely thin brush tip that I'm not used to)  The inspiration was this tassel I have, golden tip, pinky tassel. So feminine, so chic. 

Pink and gold are my favourite colours lately. As seen in yesterday's outfit. 

Are you good with at home nail designs? I always stick to a few designs: this one, red, and solid colours with simple design on the ring finger. Lately I have realized the importance of top coat, they can change up a look so easily!

A lot of people like using a nude colour as base for their french mani, but using a pink jelly colour like OPI's Heart Throb will actually make your nail look healthier!

PINK X BLUE

I'm not intentionally leaving my head out of the pictures, my place is so small, and I don't have a tripod, so I have to make-do with various chairs and counter space to put my camera. 

pastel pink is the only pleather that I think works well. (shudder at the thought of cheaply made white pleather bags). I have a hard time finding high waisted shorts that fit me, so when I came across these pink ones with elastic on the bag, I knew I had to have them. The gold buttons in the front look really cute. Remind me of Balmin jackets with buttons in front. Blue and smoke pink work well together. 

Smoke pink is such a great colour for late summer. 

BLACK X BLACK

u know how some men buy big bikes/cars to over-compensate for their u-know-what? being mere 5'2'' that's what I do by wearing all sorts of short skirt/skort/shorts in the summer time, even when it gets colder I tend to do the shorts-over-stockings combo. I wore this the other day and some guy was like "nice legs", I almost shit myself with glee.
